Vox AC30C2 30W 2x12" Greenback Tube Guitar Combo Amp
The Vox AC30C2 is an all-tube 30-watt guitar amp in a 2 × 12" combo with Celestion Greenback speakers. It's the sound of the 1960s British Invasion, with an effects loop and a master volume for today's stages.
What sets it apart
- Four EL84 tubes, 30 W RMS
- Two 12" Celestion G12M Greenback speakers
- High and low inputs on each channel
- Reverb with tone and level
- True bypass effects loop
- Tone Cut and master volume
Two channels, four inputs
Each channel has two inputs: the top jack (HIGH) and the bottom one (LOW). The Normal channel sounds round; the Top Boost channel, with its interactive bass and treble, delivers the AC30's typical chime. By balancing the channel volume and the Master, you go from a powerful clean to a warm overdrive at moderate volume.
Reverb, tremolo and loop
The reverb has two knobs, TONE and LEVEL, and the tremolo sets speed and depth; a VFS2A footswitch controls them by foot. On the back, the true bypass effects loop sends at -10 dB, a level intended for pedals. Vox recommends putting delays there to keep the repeats clean.
The AC30 sound
Vox describes enchanting cleans and raucous overdrive, with the AC30's own chime. The Tone Cut, placed in the power stage, softens the highs as you turn it clockwise.
