D'Addario Classic Series 25 ft XLR Female to 1/4" Microphone Cable
The D'Addario Classic Series PW-CGMIC-25 is a 25 ft microphone cable with a female XLR at the mic end and a mono 1/4" plug at the gear end. It connects a mic to an unbalanced jack input: an amp, a small mixer or a recorder.
What sets it apart
- Female XLR to 1/4" TS, unbalanced
- Dense spiral shield against radio interference
- Nickel-plated brass connectors that resist corrosion
When the input has no XLR
Many amps and small mixers only offer a jack input. This cable gets the mic there with no adapter. The chuck-style strain relief protects the solder joints as the 25 ft get coiled and uncoiled after every gig.

Frequently asked questions
- Do microphones have male or female XLR connectors?
- Male. That is why this cable carries a female XLR at the mic end.
- XLR to 1/4" or XLR to XLR?
- XLR to 1/4" for a jack input; XLR to XLR for a mixer with XLR inputs, such as the PW-CMIC-25 in the same series.
- Is this XLR to 1/4" cable mono?
- Yes: the 1/4" plug is TS, so mono and unbalanced.
