D'addario

The XPND 1 is an expanding single-row pedalboard: its aluminum deck slides from 35.6 to 61 cm (14 to 24 in.) long, following a rig that grows or shrinks without a new board purchase.

What sets it apart

  • Length adjustable from 35.6 to 61 cm thanks to a patented telescoping design
  • A single row of pedals, 14.9 cm deep
  • Aluminum built for touring
  • Integrated cable management that keeps leads out of the way
  • Loop fastener already applied to the surface

The problem it solves

A guitarist starts with three pedals, adds two the next year, then drops back to four for a stripped-down show. On a fixed board, every change leaves either a gap or a shortage of room. The XPND 1 opens or closes to match the pedal count of the moment.

This single-row model targets the compact rig: tuner, drive, delay, reverb. At 6.5 cm high, it stays low under the foot.

Power: plan for it

The board ships without a power supply. Space underneath is tight: D'Addario confirms six units that fit, including the Cioks DC7, the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power x4 and the Rockboard ISO Power Block V6. Otherwise, a larger brick can sit on top, or a daisy-chain supply will do. For a big supply hidden underneath, the double-row XPND 2 is the better match.

Frequently asked questions

Can a power supply be mounted under the XPND 1?
Yes, but space is limited. D'Addario confirms six models: Cioks DC7, KSE Falken 1, Voodoo Lab Pedal Power x4, Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-5 Pro, Rockboard ISO Power Block V6 and Mission Engineering 529X.
Which side of the Velcro goes under the pedals?
The board already carries the loop side, so the hook side goes under each pedal.
Does the XPND 1 come with a case?
No. D'Addario offers XPND transport cases, risers and power solutions sold separately.
