D'Addario XPND 2 Expanding Pedalboard, Double Row
The XPND 2 is an expanding double-row pedalboard: the aluminum deck goes from 43.2 to 78.7 cm (17 to 31 in.) long and 32.5 cm deep, enough for a big rig that changes from one tour to the next.
What sets it apart
- Two rows of pedals across 32.5 cm of depth
- Patented telescoping length from 43.2 to 78.7 cm
- Velcro already applied underneath for a standard power supply
- Sturdy aluminum frame designed for the road
- Leads tucked away in a cable management system
For the rig that spills over
Once a single row is not enough, modulation pedals, loopers and the multi-effects unit move to the back while footswitches stay in front, under the foot. The XPND 2 adds that second row and keeps the ability to stretch: adding a compressor or a second delay does not call for a new board.
Collapsed, it stores more easily; extended, it covers nearly 80 cm.

Frequently asked questions
- Where do you put the power supply on a pedalboard?
- Under the deck, on the side that does not extend. The XPND 2 already has Velcro there and takes most standard supplies.
- Which side does the Velcro go on?
- The top carries the factory loop side: the pedals get the hook side.
- Does it need a case for transport?
- None is included. D'Addario offers separate XPND transport cases, useful on tour.
