The 9502LB8 is a remote hi-hat operated by cable, delivered as a complete kit. An 8 ft cable connects the footboard, placed where your foot can reach it, to the hi-hat mechanism, mounted where the cymbals need to be. In between, there is no tube at all: the whole floor stays clear.

Why move the pedal away from the cymbals
Three situations come up again and again. An auxiliary hi-hat to the drummer's right, for a second set of closed cymbals. A left-handed drummer on a right-handed kit, who wants the footboard on the other side. And the crowded setup, where there is physically no floor space left for a full hi-hat stand.
In all three cases, the cable solves the problem the mechanics created: the cymbals go where they need to sound, the pedal goes where your foot is, and the two are no longer tied together by a vertical tube.
What this version includes, and why it matters
The 9502LB8 is the fully equipped version: two Mega Clamps, MG-1 and MG-2, a 505 Drop-Lock clutch and a bag come with the mechanism. That is not filler — a cable hi-hat cannot be installed without a clamp, and the drop clutch is the part that releases the open cymbals with one sharp tap.
Bought separately, this kit means ordering three different parts. That is the difference between this version and the bare version of the same mechanism.
The mounting stand is not included
The mechanism clamps onto a tube, so you need a cymbal stand or a rack to hold it. That is an expense to plan for, and something to check before ordering. On the plus side, the drummer chooses the exact height and angle of the auxiliary hi-hat.
