DW 9909 Drum Riser for Bass Drums, Toms and Percussion
The 9909 is a floor-standing riser that holds a drum up off the floor without drilling it. Its patented design accepts a range of diameters (a compact bass drum, a floor tom, a percussion instrument) and lets you play with a pedal a drum that was never meant for one.

Turning any drum into a bass drum
A 16 in floor tom laid on its side sounds wonderful under a beater. You still have to hold it, though: standing on its legs, it does not present its head to the pedal; lying on the floor, it rolls and sits at the wrong height.
The riser handles both at once. It holds the drum on its side, at the right height and on the right axis, without drilling anything. The drum goes back to being a tom whenever you like, exactly as it was.
It goes beyond the drum kit
Percussionists use it to present a striking surface to the foot: a gamelan drum, a marching drum, a piece borrowed from another world. The constraint is always the same (hold the instrument without forcing it) and that is exactly what this stand does.
