DW Adjustable Angle Rack Clamp, 1.5 in to 1.5 in
This drum rack clamp joins two 1.5 in rack tubes and lets you choose the angle between them. It is for extending a rack outside its own plane: branching off at an angle, rising vertically, reaching around something the main bar cannot get to.

A rack only helps where it reaches
A straight rack covers the front of the kit well and everything else poorly. As soon as you need a cymbal above a floor tom, a percussion accessory off to the side or an auxiliary hi-hat on a diagonal, the main bar does not land in the right place, and you end up pulling out a regular stand.
An angle clamp solves that by adding a branch. The new tube heads in the direction you want and becomes a full rack section, with its own clamps and its own holders.
The hinge, and why it beats a fixed angle
A fixed elbow imposes its angle, and the rest of the setup has to bend around it. A hinge does the opposite: you place the item where your hand naturally finds it, then lock it.
That matters most when ergonomics come first, which is the case for anything played overhead or off to the side. An accessory set five degrees too high gets missed one hit in three, and you find out on stage.
