PreSonus Eris 3.5 (2nd Gen) 3.5" Studio Monitors, Pair
The PreSonus Eris 3.5 is a pair of 3.5-inch active studio monitors for the desk: video editing, gaming, music or first productions. They take up little room and sound more accurate than computer speakers, with a headphone jack on the front.
What sets it apart
- 3.5 in. woofer and 1 in. silk-dome tweeter
- 25 W per side, Class AB
- Three types of inputs: TRS, RCA and a front stereo mini jack
- Front headphone output that mutes the monitors
- High and low controls to suit the room
- Cables included so you can connect right away
Everything is on the front
A single front knob sets both the monitor volume and the headphone level. Plugging in headphones mutes the monitors: handy for working late without disturbing anyone.
The front mini jack takes a phone or a laptop; on the back, two balanced TRS inputs and two RCA inputs take an audio interface or a mixer.
More accurate than computer speakers
PreSonus describes an even response from bass to treble, where many consumer speakers hype the low end. The high and low controls, ±6 dB, compensate for the room.
For more low end, PreSonus suggests adding the Eris Sub 8BT to build a 2.1 system.
