Gator GTSA-KEY88SLXL TSA Rolling Case for Slim Extra-Long 88-Note Keyboards
The GTSA-KEY88SLXL is a TSA flight case for 88-note stage pianos that are both slim and long. Its narrow 15" interior keeps the instrument from sliding back and forth, while its 57" length leaves room for the end cheeks of elongated models.
What sets it apart
- Slim, long 57" x 15" x 6" interior
- Two 130 lb spring-loaded tow handles
- TSA latches in an impact-diverting housing
- Recessed in-line wheels rated for 200 lb
The right shape for a narrow stage piano
Many recent stage pianos are shallow but long. In a regular 19"-deep 88-note case, they float and need a lot of foam to stay put. This model follows their outline instead: 15" front to back, 6" high, 57" end to end. The wedges and blocks inside move to hold the instrument where it needs it.
Two handles for the stairs
A loaded 88-note case is easier to handle with two people. Gator fitted a spring-loaded tow handle at each end, each rated at 130 lb, plus an Ergo-Grip handle on top. For long airport hallways, recessed in-line wheels carry up to 200 lb. The moulded polyethylene shell is trimmed with a continuous valance, and the latches' red trigger is easy to spot.

Frequently asked questions
- Will a slim 88-note stage piano fit in a 76-note case?
- Rarely, since it needs the length of 88 keys. This case offers 57" of length for 15" of depth: measure your instrument and compare.
- How is it different from the GTSA-KEY88?
- The GTSA-KEY88 is for regular 88-note keyboards, with 19" of interior depth. The narrower SLXL holds slim models better.
- Can I check the case as luggage?
- Gator designs it for air travel, with latches TSA can open. Check the size and weight your carrier allows: the empty case alone ships at around 32 lb.
