The K Splash 8" is a small, thin splash cymbal with a dark voice whose attack bursts and dies almost at once. It lets you slip a tiny accent between two snare strokes, where a crash would take over the whole space.

Zildjian offers the K Splash in 8", 10" and 12". The 8" is the highest-pitched and shortest in the range: brightness 9, sustain 2 on the Sound Lab. It leaves no tail at all, which makes it ideal for quick punctuation in a fill or a break.
Because it is still a K, its sparkle is never shrill: the attack keeps a dark core.
