Zildjian K Dark Thin Crash 16" Crash Cymbal
The K Dark Thin Crash 16" is a thin crash cymbal with a dark, low voice that opens up the instant the stick touches it. It is the smallest and liveliest size in its range: a warm, quick accent that doesn't linger.
What sets it apart
- A very popular dark, low crash
- Opens up instantly, extremely responsive
- A warm, complex explosion
- Thin weight, quick decay
The liveliest K Dark Thin
Zildjian makes the K Dark Thin in 16", 17", 18", 19" and 20". At 16", it has the highest brightness in the series (7 out of 10 on the Sound Lab) and the shortest sustain (4). It is still "dark" compared with other lines, but it is the brightest voice in its family.
An ideal extra crash
Mounted on the left, near the hi-hat, it answers quick left-hand accents. In a two-crash setup, it pairs well with a lower 18" or 19" that handles the big phrase endings.
