Zildjian K Constantinople Medium Thin Ride Low 22" Ride Cymbal
The K Constantinople Medium Thin Ride Low 22" is a medium-thin ride cymbal, flexible and rich in texture, that crashes easily. Its slightly lower profile than the High version gives it a darker sound, more wash and a lower fundamental pitch.
What sets it apart
- Plenty of give and texture
- Great crashability at a medium-thin weight
- Excellent stick articulation
- Lower profile: darker, more wash
Low: what the profile changes
Zildjian makes this ride in two profiles, Low and High. The Low is a little flatter. According to the maker, a flatter cymbal sounds lower and carries more overtones: hence its darker sound and more generous wash. The more arched High focuses the stick sound more.
Articulation on top, spread underneath
Zildjian credits its articulation to a combination: the top brings precision, the bottom brings spread. You keep crisp strokes in the middle and a dark halo around them, with the option of fully opening the cymbal at the edge.
