Zildjian L80 Low Volume Cymbal Pack (13" Hi-Hats, 14" Crash, 18" Crash Ride)
The L80 Low Volume 13/14/18 is a set of three low-volume cymbals: 13" hi-hats, a 14" crash and an 18" crash ride. They play up to 80% quieter than standard cymbals, while keeping the feel of a real acoustic cymbal.
What sets it apart
- Up to 80% quieter than a traditional cymbal
- Acoustic cymbal feel preserved
- Compact sizes: 13", 14" and 18"
- Less ear fatigue during long sessions
Three pieces, small sizes
This pack brings the three basic roles together in smaller diameters. The 13" hi-hats give a tight "chick", the 14" crash handles accents, and the 18" crash ride carries patterns on the bow while crashing on the edge. The whole set fits on a small practice kit.
A sandblasted finish that ages
L80s have a sandblasted finish. Fingerprints may stay on it after handling; if left in place, a natural oxidation develops over time. That is normal and has no effect on playing. The only care Zildjian allows: a clean, dry cloth.

Frequently asked questions
- Are low-volume cymbals good for recording?
- Zildjian designs them for practice, lessons and low-volume gigs. It does not present them as studio cymbals: for a polished recording, you keep your regular cymbals.
- Do they sound like real cymbals?
- The sound is much quieter; that is the point. What Zildjian keeps is the feel: the cymbal reacts under the stick like an acoustic cymbal, and you keep the same motions as at rehearsal.
- How do you clean L80s?
- With a clean, dry cloth only. Zildjian rules out cymbal cleaner and any other product on L80s: they could alter the finish in unintended ways.
