Hohner Marine Band Deluxe Harmonica, Key of C
The Hohner Marine Band Deluxe in C is a 10-hole diatonic harmonica whose pearwood comb is protected against swelling. It plays melodies in C and blues in G.
What sets it apart
- Pearwood sealed under several coats of clear lacquer
- UltraGlide-coated mouthpiece
- G chord drawing on holes 1 to 4
- Middle C on hole 1
A better-protected wooden comb
Pearwood gives the Marine Band its voice, but it soaks up moisture. On the Deluxe, Hohner applies several coats of clear lacquer to the comb and adds an UltraGlide coating to the mouthpiece, so your lips glide more easily and the wood swells as little as possible.
In C, hole 1 blow is middle C. On the blow you get C, E and G; drawn, holes 1 to 4 give D, G, B and D, the G chord of 2nd position blues.
