Marshall MG10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp
The Marshall MG10G is a 10-watt combo amp for getting started on electric guitar: a clean channel, an overdrive channel, a Contour knob to shape the sound, and a headphone output for practising day or night without bothering anyone.
What sets it apart
- 10 W, 6.5" speaker
- Clean channel and overdrive channel
- Contour control
- 3.5 mm headphone out with speaker emulation
- Aux input for playing along with songs
- 4.8 kg
Easy to dial in from day one
The panel comes down to five controls: clean volume, channel select, overdrive gain, overdrive volume and Contour. Contour moves the highs and lows relative to the mids, so you can go from cutting to rounded without a complicated EQ.
Practise without disturbing anyone
The headphone output emulates a speaker, so it works for silent practice and for direct recording. The 3.5 mm aux input takes a phone or player, so you can jam over your favourite tracks.
Marshall aims it at band practice as much as home use.

Frequently asked questions
- Is the MG10 a good amp?
- It's a practice amp: two channels, a Contour control, a headphone out and an aux input. It's built for learning and practising, not for the stage.
- What's the difference between the MG10 and the MG15?
- The MG15G has 15 watts, an 8" speaker and a three-band EQ. The MG10G has 10 watts, a 6.5" speaker and a single Contour control.
- Does the MG10 run on batteries like some compact amps?
- No. Marshall ships it with a power cord and makes no mention of battery power.
