Marshall MS-2 1W Micro Guitar Amp, Black
The Marshall MS-2 is a 1-watt micro amp shaped like a miniature Marshall stack, in black, that runs on batteries or mains power: set it on a desk, drop it in a bag, or clip it to your belt and play anywhere.
What sets it apart
- 1 W, 2" speaker
- Clean or overdrive voice
- Volume and tone
- 1/4" headphone out
- Batteries or mains
- Belt clip, 0.34 kg
Marshall sound in pocket size
The MS-2 stands 140 mm tall and weighs 0.34 kg. Three controls do the job: volume, tone, and a switch between the clean voice and the overdrive voice. Marshall promises true Marshall character despite the size.
The belt clip keeps it with you while you play standing or move around.
Anywhere, no outlet needed
On batteries, it plays at the campsite, the cottage or in the backyard. Plugged into the mains, it becomes a desk or bedroom amp. The 1/4" headphone output lets you practise without disturbing anyone.
Marshall offers it in black, red and dark grey; this reference is the black one.

Frequently asked questions
- Are Marshall micro amps any good?
- For what they are, yes: the MS-2 gives you Marshall sound at low volume, on batteries, anywhere. It's a companion amp rather than a main practice amp.
- What is the best small Marshall amp?
- It depends on the use. The MS-2 is the most portable; for practising at home, an MG10G or MG15G gives you more power and EQ.
- Is the MS-2 a good amp for a beginner?
- As a spare, yes. As a first main amp, a model with more power and EQ will be more useful for learning.
