The amp that travels
A practice amp left at home is no use at the cottage. The MS-2C measures 110 × 140 × 60 mm and weighs 0.34 kg: it fits in the pocket of a gig bag with your cables and spare strings.
On batteries it needs no outlet at all. The belt clip lets you wear it, guitar on the strap, and play while you walk or around the campfire.
The "classic" grey
Marshall offers the MS-2 in black, red and dark grey. The MS-2C reference is the grey version, more understated, at home on a bookshelf or a wooden desk.
Inside, nothing changes from one colour to the next: 1 W, a 2 in. speaker, volume, tone and an overdrive control.

- Marshall doesn't publish a battery life. It depends on volume and overdrive: keep a spare battery in the gig bag for a long evening.
- Does the MS-2C sound different from the black or red MS-2?
- No. Marshall describes the same 1 W amp in all three colours; only the finish changes.
- Can I plug pedals into the MS-2C?
- Yes, between the guitar and the instrument input, as with any amp. Turn the amp's overdrive down to let the pedal do the work.
