On an acoustic piano, the pedal is never just fully down or fully up: everything happens in between. The Nord Triple Pedal 2 (TP2) is a triple pedal with continuous sensors, designed by Nord for its Piano 6, Grand 2 and Stage 4. Each pedal reads its position continuously, which makes half damping faithful and also lets you give it other jobs.

Before you buy: check your instrument
Nord lists the TP2 for three instruments only: the Nord Piano 6 and the Nord Grand 2, which already ship with it in the box, and the Nord Stage 4, which takes it on its 5-pin DIN input. It therefore does not replace a jack-type sustain pedal. For other Nord Stage and Nord Piano models, and for the Nord Electro 7, Nord offers the first-generation Triple Pedal (TP1) instead. Buying the TP2 separately mostly makes sense for a Stage 4, or to replace the one that came with a Piano 6 or a Grand 2.

- Nord does not list it for the Stage 3: the TP2 is listed for the Piano 6, Grand 2 and Stage 4 only. For other Nord instruments, the TP1 is the one offered.
- Where does it plug in on the Nord Stage 4?
- Into the Triple Pedal input, a 5-pin DIN connector. The ¼" jack sustain input takes the TP1 or a switch-type pedal instead.
