Marshall Bluesbreaker Reissue Overdrive Pedal
The Marshall Bluesbreaker is a low-gain overdrive pedal that recreates the sound of the 1962 Bluesbreaker amp: smooth, warm drive that breaks up early and follows your touch, for blues and solos that need to sing without turning harsh.
What sets it apart
- Faithful reissue of the original Bluesbreaker pedal
- Low-gain overdrive, early break-up
- Three controls: gain, volume and tone
- Steel chassis, period black and blue housing
- Hand-assembled at the Bletchley factory
- 9 V battery or 9 V adaptor
A 1962 combo's sound, at your feet
The 1962 Bluesbreaker became a legend thanks to a smooth, rich, full sound that gave guitarists more expression. The Bluesbreaker pedal aimed for that character, and this reissue reproduces it: organic, coloured, warm drive that starts to break up sooner than a pushed amp on its own.
Built to carry a solo
Marshall describes added sweetness, crispness and edge that help a solo come through and bring out harmonics. With the gain low, the pedal also works for gently pushing an amp that is already on the edge of break-up.
Everything is set with three knobs. The steel housing follows the shape of the original, and the pedal runs on a 9 V battery or a 9 V adaptor sold separately.
