PreSonus Quantum ES 4 4x4 USB-C Audio Interface
The PreSonus Quantum ES 4 is a four-in, four-out USB-C audio interface for people who record on their own: one button sets the gain for you, and the meters tell you at a glance whether the take is clean, even when you are nowhere near the screen.
What sets it apart
- Four MAX-HD preamps with 75 dB of gain
- Auto Gain button that sets levels for mics and instruments
- Two instrument inputs co-developed with Fender engineers
- Two headphone outputs, so two people can record without a splitter
- Settings available from your phone, tablet or computer
- Perpetual Fender Studio Pro licence with product registration
The right level without thinking about it
The classic trap of recording alone: set the gain, run to the mic, and find out afterwards that the take clipped. With Auto Gain, one button is all it takes: the Quantum ES 4 sets the mic or instrument level itself.
An illuminated encoder handles both gain and output volume, and the LED metering for inputs and outputs stays readable from across the room.
Four preamps for a duo or a small group
The four XLR combo inputs take mics and line sources, and two instrument inputs handle guitar and bass. PreSonus specifies -129 dBu equivalent input noise and 120 dB of dynamic range on the conversion side.
Two independent headphone outputs let the singer and the guitarist each hear their own mix. The Universal Control app and Fender Studio Pro can also control gain and phantom power.
