The Vic Firth American Classic Rock is a 16 5/8 in hickory stick for players who like the 2B but want more reach. Same 0.63 in diameter, a bit more length, a short taper and an oval tip with a full sound.

The 2B, stretched

The Rock keeps the thickness of a 2B and adds three eighths of an inch. That extra length means leverage: the stick falls with more momentum, and far-off cymbals come within reach. The short taper leaves plenty of wood near the head, and the large oval tip meets a wide patch of head or cymbal, which gives a round, full sound.
