Fast, but not weightless

A very thin stick moves fast but lacks backing; a big stick pushes hard but slows you down. Dave Weckl, whom Vic Firth counts among the modern legends, went looking for the middle ground. The result stays under a 5A in diameter, but the 16 1/4 in length and medium taper supply the leverage he wanted. The barrel tip and painted finish round out the model.
