The Stringjoy Orbiters 9.5-46 is a coated electric guitar set in a half gauge between 9s and 10s. It helps two guitars with different scale lengths feel almost the same.

Matching the feel of two guitars

The same set of 10s pulls noticeably less on a 24.75" guitar than on a 25.5" one. Many guitarists compensate by putting 9s on the longer guitar, but Stringjoy has run the numbers: the jump is too big, and the long guitar ends up looser than the short one. A half gauge closes that gap.

The maker's rule: the longer the scale, the lighter the set. If you like 10s on your 24.75" guitar, this 9.5-46 will give a very similar feel on the 25.5" one. Breakdown: .0095, .013, .016, wound .026, .034 and .046, with the Orbiters coating.
