PreSonus StudioLive 32SX 40-Channel Digital Mixer
The PreSonus StudioLive 32SX is a digital mixer that runs 40 channels from a compact frame with 25 faders. It brings the 32 preamps and routing of a large front-of-house console to a 66 cm footprint, where space is tight: a church control desk, the back of a venue, an event truck.
What sets it apart
- 32 fully recallable XMAX-R preamps and 16 mix outputs
- 25 touch-sensitive motorized faders in a split-fader layout
- 16 FlexMixes (aux, subgroup or matrix), 4 effects buses and 4 subgroups
- 24 DCAs to control groups of channels
- 64 x 64 USB interface and multitrack SD card recorder
- Built-in AVB networking for stage boxes and EarMix 16M units
A big console in a small frame
The 32SX spreads its 32 inputs across two fader layers and keeps eight faders dedicated to mix outputs: you move from vocals to monitors without losing your place. The fixed-input Fat Channel keeps input trim and compressor threshold under your fingers, and a 7-inch touchscreen gives access to every EQ and dynamics parameter.
The dual-core FLEX DSP engine runs 286 simultaneous processors: vintage EQ and classic compressor models on every input and bus, plus a four-slot FLEX FX processor for reverbs and delays.
Record and grow the system
Every channel plus a stereo mix records over USB (64 x 64), to SD card, or both at once. Virtual Soundcheck then plays those tracks back through the console so you can build the mix without the band. Capture and a Fender Studio Pro licence are included.
Over a single AVB network cable, the 32SX takes NSB stage boxes to bring inputs closer to the musicians, EarMix 16M personal monitor mixers and other StudioLive consoles. With the AVB-D16, it adds 16 channels of Dante. A free firmware update brings Milan certification.

Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between the StudioLive 32SX and the 32S?
- The 32S gives one fader per channel in an 822 mm frame; the 32SX uses split faders (25 faders over two layers) in a 660 mm frame, with the same 40-channel capacity.
- Does the 32SX record to SD card?
- Yes. Its multitrack SD recorder captures every channel plus a stereo mix, alongside USB recording if you wish.
- Can you connect stage boxes to the 32SX?
- Yes, over the AVB network: PreSonus NSB stage boxes add analog inputs and outputs near the stage with a single Ethernet cable.
- Can you control the 32SX from an iPad?
- Yes. PreSonus provides UC Surface for iPad or Android tablets to control the console remotely.
