PreSonus StudioLive AR16c 18-Channel Analog Mixer with USB-C Interface
The PreSonus StudioLive AR16c is an 18-channel analog mixer paired with an 18 x 4 USB-C audio interface. With 12 mic preamps, it handles a full band, drums included, and records every instrument to its own track during the show.
What sets it apart
- 12 XMAX mic preamps, 16 balanced line inputs
- 18 x 4, 24-bit/96 kHz USB 2.0 interface over USB-C
- Rackmount kit included
- Stereo SD recorder and WAV or MP3 file playback
- Stereo Super Channel with Bluetooth for background music
- 3-band analog EQ and effects with 16 presets
Enough inputs for a full band
Twelve XMAX preamps are enough to put four or five mics on a drum kit and still have room for vocals, bass and guitars. Sixteen balanced line inputs take keyboards and other sources, and a +10 dB boost on the stereo channels wakes up vintage synths and low-output broadcast mics.
Every input goes to its own track on the computer, along with the main mix, up to 96 kHz. Capture records it all in one click, and the final mix then happens in Fender Studio Pro, included with the console.
Built to stay in place
Unlike the AR12c and AR8c, the AR16c comes with its rack ear kit: it goes into a control-room cabinet or a road case straight out of the box. Its power supply is internal, on a standard IEC cord, with no external brick to lose.
The SD card records the stereo mix without a computer and plays WAV or MP3 files prepared in advance: walk-in music, backing tracks or rehearsal material.
