Zildjian 5A Acorn Neon Hickory Drumsticks, Pink
The pink Zildjian 5A Acorn Neon is a pair of hickory drumsticks with an acorn tip, in a very vivid neon pink. It's the same versatile stick as the 5A Acorn, in a colour that makes you want to sit down behind the kit.
What sets it apart
- Multi-layer neon pink
- Hickory, acorn tip
- Reacts to black light
Why hickory
Zildjian makes most of its sticks from hickory, a wood it favours for its good feel in the hand and its strength. It adds that hickory sounds good on drums, and even better on cymbals. Under the pink is that same wood, with an acorn tip also in wood.

Frequently asked questions
- Do these drumsticks light up when hit?
- No. They aren't light-up sticks: it's a neon finish that, according to Zildjian, glows when lit by a black light.
- 5A or 7A for a child?
- The 7A is shorter and thinner, so easier for small hands. This 5A Acorn is 16.25" long and better suits a young player who already has some strength.
- What wood does Zildjian use?
- Mostly hickory, for its feel and strength. Zildjian also offers maple, which is lighter, and laminated birch for heavy sticks.
