The silver Zildjian 5A Chroma is a pair of hickory drumsticks painted in a pearlescent metallic silver. Of the four Chroma colours, it's the most understated: it matches chrome hardware and reflects the lights without clashing.

On paper, nothing separates the silver Chroma from Zildjian's natural 5A: 16", 0.560", oval wood tip, medium taper. What changes is the surface. Pearlescent paint feels different from a thin coat of lacquer; if it slips in sweaty hands, Zildjian offers a stick wax to spread on the grip.

- No, the Chroma has an oval wood tip. At Zildjian, the nylon-tip 5A is a separate model, the Z5AN.
