Zildjian 5A Purple DIP Hickory Drumsticks with Grip Coating
The Zildjian 5A Purple DIP is a pair of hickory 5A drumsticks whose grip area carries a purple DIP coating. Same stick as the black 5A DIP, same slightly tacky grip, with a touch of colour.
What sets it apart
- Purple DIP coating
- Full-size oval tip
- Relaxed grip
Other ways to hold your stick
DIP isn't Zildjian's only grip option. Some artist models have a rough lacquer, like Kozo Suganuma's; Joey Kramer's is sanded with no lacquer; Terri Lyne Carrington's has a lightly sanded, then lacquered finish. The purple 5A DIP relies on the coating.
